Job Description
The General Ledger Account is responsible for the day-to-day execution of an effective General Ledger function at The Christ Hospital.
Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts as directed by the General Accounting Manager
Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of the financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and cash flows ensuring conformity with generally accepted accounting principals (GAAP)
Prepare the analysis of variant GL accounts on a monthly basis. Provide input into corrective actions to be taken by operations staff.
Maintain the on-going analysis for prepaid expenses, amortized assets, long and short term debt and other accounts that impact the proper preparation of interim financial statements.
Prepare ad hoc reports including forecasted financial statements (income

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Accounting
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5 years' of accounting experience, half of which should be in a hospital or health system with responsibilities for financial reporting, budgeting and general ledger maintenance.
