Advanced Practice Provider - Surgical Oncology

Shift: Full-Time, Day shift



Location: This position will be located at Medical Office Building (main campus - 2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219), in addition to possibly our Liberty or Montgomery locations.



Position Description: This candidate will serve as a Surgical Oncology APP, rendering services to patients for breast health, breast oncology and melanoma/skin cancer.



Job Overview: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be an APRN, PA or NP that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. The APP will be joining a team of experienced, outpatient-based APPs and oncology physicians.



The schedule will include working Monday through Friday at various practices within the region. There are no call requirements; however, there are minimal inpatient responsibilities, consisting of rounding on post-op patients and consults (low volume/not complex). Oncology experience is preferred but not required.

Education: Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.



License/Certification:

  • DEA license
  • BLS certified
  • ACLS certified (preferred but not required)


Certified Nurse Practitioner: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or applicable state board



OR



Physician Assistant: Graduate from accredited physician assistant program with a Master's Degree Physician Assistant Certification (verified by the National Commission or the Certification of Physician Assistant - NCCPA. Current, valid license (registration) by the state Medical Board of Ohio or applicable state medical board. Current Certificate to prescribe by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
