Limited Permit - Radiology Technologist Student - Part Time

Job Description

This position is located at The Christ Hospital, 2139 Auburn Avenue and will be scheduled 4- 8 hours per week.



1 Evening per week and 1 weekend shift every other weekend.



Job Summary: The Student Radiology Technologist will be responsible for assisting licensed and registered technologist in their duties to perform routine radiographs as allowed by law. The Student Radiology technologists will assist in the facilitation of the flow of patients and will help to create an efficient working environment.



This position is also responsible for:

  • Identifying correct patient and procedure, verifying demographic information with patient and comparing that to system records.
  • Transporting patients from different departments to their exam and assisting patients on and off the exam table.
  • Protecting the safety of all patients, guests and technologists by following established hospital and department protocol in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • Performing clerical tasks including, scheduling exams, utilizing the centralized transport program for patient transport, answering and directing calls and entering patient information.


Education: Actively participating in an AMA approved training program for RTS or ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology school or other related Allied Health Program: Ultrasound or MRI..



Licenses & Certifications: Employee must be enrolled in an approved imaging program that they will be eligible for or hold a valid Ohio license upon graduation if working in an area with RGE. CPR certification is also required.
