NON-INVASIVE CARDIOLOGIST for WOMEN'S HEART CENTER



The Christ Hospital Health Network Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a non-invasive cardiologist to join The Women's Heart Center.



The Women's Heart Center at The Christ Hospital is rapidly growing and seeking a candidate that has expertise or interest in women's cardiovascular care, including but not limited to prevention, antepartum and postpartum cardiovascular management, ischemic syndromes in the absence of obstructive epicardial coronary artery disease (Coronary Microvascular Disease, MINOCA and INOCA). Formal training in women's cardiovascular health is not required for the position. Candidates with interest in women's heart disease are also encouraged to apply. The candidate will actively participate in The Women's Heart Center's program development, strategic direction, research development, education, and community outreach in addition to clinic care specialized in women's cardiovascular health and disease. This individual will serve as a key contributor in the hospital's effort to achieve recognition as one of the nation's top ten cardiovascular programs.



Candidate must be board-eligible or certified in general cardiology and be able to obtain an unrestricted Ohio and Kentucky State Medical License and DEA. This position will include a highly competitive compensation with full benefits package, including relocation assistance.

The mission of the Women's Heart Center is to improve the cardiovascular health of women in our community and create patient value by enhancing access to care in an affordable way while providing excellent patient outcomes and experiences across the lifespan. The Women's Heart Center was established on four fundamental pillars: Excellence in Cardiovascular Care, Clinical Research to close the gaps in women's cardiovascular outcomes, Education, and Community Outreach to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease in women. Our team is committed to a comprehensive approach to women's cardiovascular health through multiple programs including: (1) Women's cardiovascular clinic that specializes in cardiac diseases such Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD); (2) Pregnancy and postpartum heart health, including antepartum risk assessment and management of pregnancies complicated by CVD; (3) Preventive heart health for women at high risk of CVD including specialized program for prevention in women with pregnancies complicate by adverse pregnancy outcomes; (4) Coronary Microvascular Program for both women and men that includes Coronary Microvascular Disease/ Ischemia with No Obstructive CAD (INOCA)/Myocardial Infarction with No Obstructive CAD (MINOCA). The Coronary Microvascular Program is one of the fastest growing in the nation and the only center with coronary functional angiography in the Tristate area. The Women's Heart Center in collaboration with the Lindner Center for Research and Education has one of the largest and most diverse clinical research portfolios of studies focused on advancing cardiac care and outcomes in women. In addition, The Women's Heart Center is dedicated to increasing education on cardiovascular disease in women within the community and across the nation.

THE CHRIST HOSPITAL HEART AND VASCULAR INSTITUTE



The Christ Hospital ranks 50th in the country for cardiology and heart surgery. THE CARL AND EDYTH LINDNER CENTER FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATION AT THE CHRIST HOSPITAL



The Lindner Center for Research has become an international leader in clinical cardiovascular research. The impact of its work has transformed cardiovascular care and brought new treatments to patients in Greater Cincinnati, long before these treatments were available elsewhere in our country. The Lindner Center offers 130-160 active clinical trials at any given time, produces more than 200 peer-reviewed publications each year and hosts educational forums for both physicians and consumers. Over the past 30 years, The Lindner Center has helped pioneer numerous leading-edge drugs and medical devices, including 10 first-in-man and 24 first-in-the-U.S. procedures which have contributed to best practice standards for the care of patients. The center has participated in over 1,200 clinical trials, Phase I-IV, and introduced many of the newest techniques that have transformed healthcare over the years. The Women's Heart Center though The Lindner Center for Research is actively enrolling in multiple clinic trials focused on closing the gaps in women's cardiovascular outcomes. These include trials in cardiac diseases that predominantly affect women and are largely understudied including ischemia and no obstructive coronary artery disease (INOCA), myocardial infarction with no obstructive coronary artery disease (MINOCA) and coronary microvascular disease, and women specific risk factors for cardiac disease such as hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.
