Sr. Marketing Specialist


STRATEGY - Based on the enterprise wide and service line strategies, lead the development of a marketing strategy to drive patient acquisition and increase the brands reputation including assessing the market, competition, trends, programs and more.

EXECUTION (Direct to Consumer) - Develop and execute on the marketing plan including omni channel approaches, identifying and working with PR lead to drive free media, CRM, web content, social media opportunities, videos and digital strategies, SEO & SEM; collaborate with call center; work with agencies, graphic designers and printing vendor monitoring and reporting out on performance metrics, and communication back to key stakeholders.

EXECUTION (Direct to Physician Marketing Strategy/Execution) Working in collaboration with the physician relations team as the lead, help manage and coordinate marketing strategies and plans to support the physician referral growth goals. Specific duties include: developing direct to physician material on key differentiators, research initiatives and innovations and develop distribution plan with physician relations team to reach physicians with this material outside PSA and SSA, develop ongoing communication platforms (email, direct mail, symposium) to facilitate and cultivate referral patterns and relationships.

AD HOC SUPPORT FOR BROADER MARKETING TEAM: MEMBERS Assist in request of additional service lines, offering consultation and resource recommendations, and collaborate with your support staff to help with other, potentially low budget needs or request; i.e, brochure updates, website updates, etc.

Other duties as assigned. Includes serving on hospital committees and media on-call rotation and additional duties as needed.

FINANCIAL IMPACT AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages budget for assigned accounts and services.


EDUCATION: College degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, Integrated Strategic Communications, business or related field

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years experience in marketing, advertising, digital marketing and/or communications (Preferred - 3 years direct experience in healthcare marketing and physician interaction)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Strong strategic thinker, proven project management skills, experience in measurement and tracking, strong presentation skills. Must have well developed, proven leadership skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Must posses a depth in digital marketing experience including online display, content marketing, social media and mobile applications. Must have experience in coordinating and executing integrated marketing/communications plans. Extensive experience in writing for a variety of media and audiences, including web, social, educational and marketing. Must have the ability to work with people at all levels of an organization, from physicians to executives to patients. Excellent writing skills, familiarity with AP style, strong editing and proofreading skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Knowledge of general layout/design and general photography also helpful.
