Job Description
Stocks and distributes orders on a variety of merchandise, supplies and equipment. Makes visual inspection of items to ensure sterilization is maintained. Assists in setting and adjusting par levels of supplies to patient care areas and stock as required.
Responsibilities
Orders low unit of measure medical supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels utilizing designated inventory management system. Delivers, stows and rotates medical supplies to patient care areas. Communicates recommendations of par level changes to Manager / Supervisor. Coordinates inventory stocking levels with department manager. Assist others with supply needs by phone, in-person or email.
Assists receiving clerks with logging of inbound parcels and the distribution of non- low unit of measure items using handheld devices when selected to do so by distribution management. Obtains an electronic signature and verification of receipt 99% of the time from all end users utilizing the delivery function of the MSCM.
Ensures all items stocked within the par area are rotated. Removes any expiring product from shelf prior to its expiration. Performs monthly area checks to ensure only servicable products are stocked. Keeps supply areas clean and organized.
Maintains and distributes appropriate inventory of medical gases on patient care areas as assigned.
Completes designated supply cycle counts in designated patient care area supply locations as scheduled.
Picks up return merchandise from hospital departments returns to dock for proper processing.
Assists in product conversions, par area redesigns and optimization projects as assigned.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 3 years in receiving / distribution function.
