TCHP EECP TECHNICIAN

Job Description

Provides Enhanced External Counterpulsations treatments to cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

Provides EECP treatments while evaluating amplitude and continuously monitoring the patient. Maintains complete medical record documentation. Coordinates patient flow during clinic time. Prepares patient for exam including interviewing patient, taking vital signs, verifying medication and reviewing any patient concerns.

Provides care for patients or others when there is no physician present in the office and a medical emergency occurs.

Provides patient education by instructing patients in medication, risk factor, and limitations.

Uses EPIC computer system as appropriate.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

EDUCATION: Paramedic, LPN, or RN degree required.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2 years as a Paramedic with emergency cardiology experience required or LPN or RN licensure required. ACLS required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: EECP equipment, copier, Fax, computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Epic preferred).

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

State of Ohio Paramedic, LPN or RN license. ACLS Required
