Job Description
Organize and direct maintenance and repair of electrical systems, services, and equipment for the district. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all electrical fixtures and systems in district facilities.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair transformers, switches, breakers, panels lighting, transfer switches, motor control centers.drives and generator equipment.
Install lighting fixtures, conduit, wire, switches, breakers, controls and other devices associated with mechanical and electrical systems.
Performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and tests on electrical distribution systems, its components, and other electrical devices. to include ups system, transformers, emergency generators
Analyze electrical system problems utilizing power logic systems and assists others in the resolution of electrical problems. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical components and other electrical devices. Trouble-shoot Power-Logic building automation and network, perform maintenance.
Maintain necessary records and documentation as required for tests and repairs also pms. Operates a variety of test equipment and practices safety methods wearing the appropriate protective gear.
Coordinate outages on electrical equipment,generators,ups,transformers, asco switches
Train staff on electric distribution system,
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

EDUCATION: Completion of apprenticeship, or technical equivalent
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5 - 10 years
Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of motors, local electrical codes
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material.
Ability to perform a wide variety of ELECTRICAL maintenance work
• Strong mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and design skills
• Pneumatics, motors, pumps and building automation trouble-shooting and repairs
• Ability to read and/or interpret blueprints or schematics
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision making skills
• Teamwork, creativity, and problem analysis skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills including basic programming and setting up system defaults
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Read and understand electrical drawings, schematics and vendor manuals. Knowledge of electrical codes. Trouble shooting skills. Ability to use control diagrams, and vendor manuals.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver's license completion of apprenticeship program, technical schooling or equivalent. Certification with Arc Flash training and Power-logic Preferred. On-call some days and nights works weekends shifts and holidays as required..
