Oncology Advanced Practice Provider

Shift: Full-Time, Day shift

(Four 10-hour shifts per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)

Location: This position will require travel between several TCHHN practice locations. Though subject to change in the future, the current locations will include:

  • NKY: 1955 Dixie Highway Suite G Ft Wright, KY 41011 (MONDAY)
  • Anderson: 7545 Beechmont Ave Suite M Cincinnati, OH 45255 (TUESDAY/FRIDAY)
  • Red Bank: 4460 Red Bank Expwy Suite 200 Cincinnati, OH 45227 (WEDNESDAY)


Position Description: This candidate will serve as an Oncology APP, collaborating with two physicians.

Job Overview: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be an APRN, PA or NP that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. The APP will be joining a team of experienced, outpatient-based APPs and oncology physicians.

The schedule will include working four, 10-hour shifts per week at various practices within the region. There are no call requirements (optional) or inpatient responsibilities. Oncology experience is preferred but not required.

Education: Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

License/Certification:

  • DEA license
  • BLS certified
  • ACLS certified (preferred but not required)


Certified Nurse Practitioner: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or applicable state board

OR

Physician Assistant: Graduate from accredited physician assistant program with a Master's Degree Physician Assistant Certification (verified by the National Commission or the Certification of Physician Assistant - NCCPA. Current, valid license (registration) by the state Medical Board of Ohio or applicable state medical board. Current Certificate to prescribe by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
