Job Description
This position involves working with departments across the organization to understand their information needs, designing and implementing actionable data/reports, and presenting findings to support strategic, financial, and operational decisions.
Every day on the Decision Support team is a new challenge. On any given day, a Decision Support Analyst might be responsible for one or more of the following tasks: financial reporting, financial dashboards, presentations, variance analysis, surveys, budgets, proforma/business plans, cost analysis, project level support/analysis, reimbursement/patient estimate analysis, revenue cycle analysis, or ad-hoc analysi

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree required; undergraduate coursework in business, finance, accounting, mathematics/statistics, or economics field is strongly recommended.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
No prior experience is required, but some knowledge of data gathering, reporting & analysis with an emphasis on financial data is recommended. Some experience with Microsoft Excel is recommended but not required.
LICENSES REGISTRATIONS &/or CERTIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities
Reporting and Analysis:
- Gather and integrate data from various sources including Epic Clarity and the decision support application. Ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Generate standard statistical and financial reports and dashboards under supervision. Analyze the data for key takeaways under supervision.
- Complete and distribute daily/weekly/monthly KPI reports.
- Assist in maintaining and completing routine reporting schedules under supervision.
- Create and update pro formas, profit and loss, and other financial reports under supervision.
- Work without supervision to complete scheduled tasks.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Work with team members on smaller-scale projects.
- Participate in meetings and discussions.
- Collaborate with service line and departmental leaders.
Training and Support:
- Participate in training sessions.
- Provide training to less experienced analysts.
